Case study

Energy

About twice the inquiries at about 54% lower cost per acquisition

Challenge
The ad cost per inquiry was too high for the business to be profitable.
Approach
We left the landing page as it was, and rethought and rebuilt the account structure. Without increasing ad spend, inquiries rose from 97 to 193 a month.
Numbers
Cost per inquiry: about ¥50,000 → about ¥23,000

Adding customer acquisition from a different angle on top of the official ad account

Our work
We handled both the search ads in the official account and a separate acquisition initiative that approached customers from a different angle.
Results
Seminar participants rose from about 170 to about 1,300 a month, and the ad cost per participant fell by about 34%. Overall, we brought in about 1.6 times as many participants as the official ads alone.
Numbers

Where we look first in a review

Even with the same ad spend, a review can change the results. These are the four areas we most often work on.

Four areas to review in the ad account1Search terms2Keywords3Tracking4LP
  1. 1

    Search terms

We exclude searches with little potential and searches that don't match your area or services, and shift budget toward searches by people looking for a provider.

  2. 2

    Keywords and bids

We look at which searches lead to inquiries, shift budget toward the keywords that perform, and hold back the ones that don't.

  3. 3

    Tracking

We check what is being counted as a conversion and fix the setup if it is off.

  4. 4

    LP

We look at where visitors from ads drop off, then revise the headlines and the path to an inquiry.

* Work that involves revising the landing page is discussed separately.
